Cheap car hire Gibralter airport
The Rock of Gibraltar is situated at the southern tip of Spain, guarding the strait of Gibraltar that divides Europe and Africa. Its strategic position has made it the target of endless attacks, but it has stood firm over the centuries resulting in the well known saying 'as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar'.

Strategically important, Gibraltar was reluctantly ceded to Great Britain by Spain in the 1713 Treaty of Utrecht; the British garrison was formally declared a colony in 1830. In a referendum held in 1967, Gibraltarians voted overwhelmingly to remain a British dependency.
With mild winters and warm summers, Gibraltar enjoys a Mediterranean climate. The average temperature in the winter drops to 59°F/ 15°C in the winter and about 86°F/ 30°C in the summer.
