Although Seville is the Capital of Andalucia which is home to the Costa Del Sol, Costa De La Luz, Costa Tropical and Costa Almeria, only around 20% of its passenger traffic is from outside Spain. Passenger numbers are climbing, and in 2007 just over 4.5 million people passed through the airport compared to just 1.8 million back in 1999. The airport handled 65,087 flights last year.
